CLS KC-10 Elevator Problems

Post by dennis stanek » Mon Nov 14, 2016 6:35 pm

Gents,

I am flying the CLS KC-10 Extender, and the Elevator is super slow to non-existant upon the flare and has caused me to "nose Into" the runway. HOW IRRITATING after a long flight! Have any of you experienced this problem? If so, what was your fix? I had other A/C do this, however, D/L'ing a new driver for my Saitek X52 helped solve the problem, but it still persists in the KC-10. Any help would be appreciated.

I have to say I have never had elevator control issues and I fly it a lot.
The only thing that makes sense would be a X-52 issue.
Are you using Windows 10?
I have seen the USB ports shut down in conservation mode which shuts down the hardware
when you least expect it. This is what was causing me grief flying this bird.

I FIXED THE PROBLEM!!!! The Saitek was not the issue, it was the way I was conducting the approach. That CLS KC-10 can be a real b*tch, if everything is not correct and configured for landing.

Dennis, so what you are saying is the yoke actuator nut was loose. I'm glad you got it sorted.

Sounds good Dennis.
You think that is bad, you should try landing it when it is overloaded with cargo pallets.
